WGIRLS Milwaukee

The WGIRLS Milwaukee, founded in October of 2009, is a non-profit group of young professional women who volunteer their time to plan fundraising events and volunteer for local non-profits that serve women and children.

WGIRLS Milwaukee is part of the nationwide organization WGIRLS INC., which aims to provide underprivileged women and children with the support and resources necessary to achieve health, happiness and the ability to lead productive and successful adult lives. The WGIRLS started as a local group in NYC, and has recently expanded to 18 chapters nationally with over 500 active members, Milwaukee being one of them.

WGIRLS Milwaukee 4th Annual Hope for the Holidays

Be Merry. Give Bright. Join WGIRLS Milwaukee as we celebrate the season of giving and brighten the lives of the children in the Family Reunification Program at Lad Lake's St. Rose Center.

All proceeds will benefit WGIRLS Milwaukee Holiday Gift Program which helps to fulfill the holiday needs and grants wishes for children and teens participating in the Family Reunification Program.

Plus, bring in one of the following donation items the night of the event and get a free raffle ticket! Lad Lake's St. Rose Center is in need of socks, undergarments, hats and scarves for boys and girls ages 8-17.

The Family Reunification Program (FRP) at Lad Lake's St. Rose Campus helps children of incarcerated parents cope with feelings of sadness, anger, shame, alienation, confusion, and overall dysfunction. We help them cope with the separation and abandonment they experience, while promoting the development of coping skills, protective behaviors, and family stability. Additionally, we provide assistance with the reintegration of former inmates into the community, enhancing the possibility of successful family reunification and decreasing the possibility of future incarcerations of both parent and child.
